The Curious Monkey Collection

(1 of 1)

Edward’s monkeys portray a chimpanzee’s outlook on human life and society through images and curious conversation. Interestingly the project is inspired by street art, not the concept of art displayed in public, but more specifically the surfaces that street art is exhibited on. Both the variety of textured surfaces, and the fact that the artwork has to accommodate for walls that will crack and fade with time, contributed to the look of his new collection. Edward would describe it as a 'Retro Oriental' look and feel, with the use of Western paints and Eastern inks used in his mixed media paintings.
